ShrinkPDF ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how ShrinkPDF handles information when you use our app.

1. What ShrinkPDF Does

ShrinkPDF is an iOS PDF compression app. Core PDF processing is performed on-device.

On-device PDF Processing

  • Your PDF files are compressed locally on your device.
  • We do not upload your PDF content to our servers for compression.
  • We do not read or store the contents of your PDF files on our servers.

Compressed files may be saved locally in app-managed storage, your Files location, or shared by you via system share features.

2. Information We Process

A. File Content (PDFs)

  • PDF content is processed locally on your device.
  • We do not use your PDF content for advertising.
  • We do not sell PDF content.

B. Analytics Events (TelemetryDeck)

To improve app quality and reliability, ShrinkPDF sends product analytics events via TelemetryDeck. These events can include:

  • app screen views and feature actions
  • app version
  • iOS version
  • subscription status flag (for feature analytics)

We do not intentionally send PDF document content in analytics events. TelemetryDeck is privacy-focused and designed to avoid personal identification.

C. Subscription and Purchase Data (RevenueCat + Apple)

If you use paid features, subscription and entitlement management is handled by RevenueCat and Apple's in-app purchase system. This may involve:

  • product identifiers
  • purchase status
  • entitlement status
  • renewal/expiration metadata

Payment card details are handled by Apple, not by us.

D. Anonymous Guest Account Request (Backend API)

On app launch, ShrinkPDF may request an anonymous guest identity from our backend (aipromptant.com) to associate app usage with a RevenueCat app user ID. This request includes technical data such as:

  • app name
  • device platform
  • timestamp
  • request signature

This flow is not used to upload your PDF file content.

E. Contact Data (Optional)

If you contact us (for example, by email), we process the information you send (such as your email address and message) to provide support.

3. Permissions

ShrinkPDF requests only permissions needed for core functionality:

  • Files access: to open/import/export PDF files you select.
  • App Group shared container access: to import PDFs shared from the iOS Share Extension.

We do not request contacts, location, microphone, or camera access for PDF compression.

4. Local Storage and Retention

  • Compressed PDFs and recent-file records are stored locally on your device.
  • Shared-extension temporary files are cleaned up after import.
  • You can remove local files by deleting them in-app or in Files.
  • Deleting the app will generally remove app sandbox data from your device (subject to iOS behavior and backups).

5. Tracking, Ads, and Data Sale

  • ShrinkPDF does not serve third-party ads.
  • We do not sell your personal information.
  • We do not use your PDF content for cross-app advertising.

We use reasonable safeguards to protect the data we process. No system is completely secure, but we continuously work to improve security and stability.

ShrinkPDF is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
