SnapInk
Mar 14, 2026

This Privacy Policy applies to SnapInk ("SnapInk," "we," "our," or "us"), a PDF signing app made available by its individual developer. It explains how we handle information when you use the SnapInk iOS app, its share extension, and related support channels.

1. About SnapInk

SnapInk is an iPhone and iPad app for signing PDF documents. Depending on the feature you use, SnapInk may let you:

  • import PDFs from Files, other apps, or the iOS share sheet
  • scan paper documents into PDFs
  • add signatures, dates, and text to PDFs
  • create and manage a local signature vault
  • export, save, or share finished documents using Apple system features

SnapInk is designed so that PDF signing, document scanning, and related editing happen on your device by default.

2. Information We Process

A. Documents and Content You Choose to Use

When you use SnapInk, the app may process content that you intentionally select, import, scan, create, or export, including:

  • PDF files
  • scanned document pages
  • handwritten signatures you draw in the app
  • signature photos or image files you import
  • text, dates, and annotations you add to a document

By default, we do not upload your PDF contents, scanned pages, signature images, or exported documents to our servers for signing or scanning.

If you choose to share or export a document through Apple's share sheet, Files, Mail, Messages, AirDrop, or another app, that transfer is handled by Apple and the destination service you choose.

B. App, Usage, and Purchase Information

We may process limited information needed to operate the app, understand feature usage, and manage paid access, such as:

  • app usage and interaction data
  • app version and device or operating system information
  • subscription or entitlement status
  • purchase-related metadata provided by Apple or our subscription provider

We do not intentionally include PDF contents, scanned document images, signature images, exported files, or payment card numbers in analytics events. Payments are processed by Apple, not by us.

C. Support Communications

If you contact us by email or through in-app support links, we process the information you send us, such as your email address, message contents, attachments you choose to provide, and basic device or app version details included in the support template.

3. How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • provide PDF import, scanning, signing, storage, export, and sharing features
  • save your local history, signatures, and settings on your device
  • support subscriptions, restores, and entitlement checks
  • maintain app security, reliability, and performance
  • understand usage patterns and improve the app
  • respond to support requests and feedback
  • comply with legal obligations

Where applicable law requires a legal basis for processing, we generally rely on:

  • performance of a contract or steps taken at your request, to provide the app and its features
  • legitimate interests, to secure, maintain, analyze, and improve the service
  • consent, where permission-based device access is needed, such as camera or photo library access
  • legal obligations, when we must retain or disclose information under applicable law

5. When We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your document content for cross-app advertising.

We may share limited information with:

  • Apple, to provide App Store, in-app purchase, device, and sharing functionality
  • RevenueCat, to manage subscriptions and entitlements
  • TelemetryDeck, to process privacy-focused analytics
  • service providers that support app infrastructure, security, and support operations
  • law enforcement, regulators, courts, or other parties when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, or the service

Third-party services process data under their own terms and privacy policies.

6. Permissions and Device Access

SnapInk requests only the permissions needed for features you choose to use:

  • Files access, to import and export documents you select
  • Camera access, to scan paper documents or capture handwritten signatures
  • Photo Library access, to import images such as signature photos or stamps

You can deny or revoke permissions at any time in iOS Settings, although some features may stop working.

7. Storage and Retention

Documents, signatures, history, and settings used by SnapInk are primarily stored locally on your device. You can generally remove this data by deleting local files, clearing in-app history, deleting saved signatures, or uninstalling the app.

Some limited app, analytics, subscription, and support data may be retained by us or our service providers for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, comply with law, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and improve the app.

If you enable Apple device backups or iCloud backups, local app data may also be included under Apple's settings and policies.

8. International Processing

SnapInk and its service providers may process data in countries other than your own. When that happens, processing is subject to the safeguards and legal mechanisms required by applicable law.

9. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:

  • access personal data we hold about you
  • request correction or deletion
  • object to or restrict certain processing
  • request portability where applicable
  • withdraw consent for permission-based processing

Because SnapInk stores most document content locally on your device, many deletion choices can be exercised directly by removing local files, signatures, history, or the app itself. For server-side or provider-held data requests, contact us with enough information for us to review your request.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect the information we process. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Children's Privacy

SnapInk is not directed to children under 13, or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and post the current version at this page. Your continued use of SnapInk after the updated policy becomes effective means the updated policy applies to your use, to the extent permitted by law.
